Animal Rescue to Host Surf Dog Experience

Freedom Bridge Animal Rescue is hosting the 11th Annual Surf Dog Experience on Saturday, May 17, from 8–11 a.m. at the Carolina Beach Pier. The event features surfing dogs and raises funds for the rescue organization, with a \$40 entry fee. Sponsors include The Dog House, participating for the third year, and Eagle Eye Enterprises, the official t-shirt sponsor. Watch the story at wect.com.

Law Enforcement Memorial Coming to Brunswick County

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office will hold a special unveiling ceremony for a Law Enforcement Memorial on May 15 at 10 a.m. The event will honor those who died in the line of duty, featuring a Presentation of Colors by the BCSO Honor Guard and a Reading of the Names by Sheriff Brian Chism. Flags at Half-Staff Today Per Governor For Law Enforcement

Governor Josh Stein has ordered all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities to be lowered to half-staff on Thursday, May 15, in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day. The tribute recognizes law enforcement officers who have died or been injured in the line of duty. Stein emphasized the importance of remembering their sacrifice and supporting efforts to keep communities and officers safe. See more at wect.com.

Shag Night At Gio Fund Event Center

Join the Gio Fund Event Center tonight at 5pm for a fun night of Carolina Shag Dancing. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or advanced, single or with a partner. There will be moves for everyone! No cover! Bar opens at 5pm. Kitchen is now open! The Gio Fund Event Center is located at 117 Village Rd NE Unit G in Leland.

Neon Night at the Golf Barn

Tomorrow night at 6pm the Golf Barn will have “Neon Night”. There will be Toptracer and putt-putt under neon lights, music, food trucks and drink specials. Put some neon on and join the fun! The Golf Barn is located at 7 Bell Swamp Connection NE in Winnabow.
