THE NEWS
Brunswick H2Go Urges Water Conservation
H2GO is urging customers to conserve water as temperatures rise and irrigation demands increase. The utility encourages residents to evaluate their watering habits and adopt sustainable practices to support the community.
Key guidelines include:
* Mandatory irrigation schedule:
* Even-numbered addresses may water on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays
* Odd-numbered addresses may water on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
* Irrigation is limited to three days per week
* Irrigation should supplement rainfall, as southern turf grasses typically need only 1 inch of water weekly.
* Use of rain sensors and smart irrigation controllers is recommended to avoid unnecessary watering.
* H2GO offers a Smart Irrigation Program and a tiered irrigation calculator to help customers lower their monthly water bills. (WECT)
