Novant Health-Brunswick to Throw a Baby Shower - How You Can Help

Novant Health in Bolivia will be hosting a parking-lot baby shower on Saturday, May 3rd from 9am to 11am. They are accepting cash donations in addition to goods for newborns and infants. If you would like to know how you can help - check out the story on wwaytv3’s website.

Brunswick County is Looking to Build a New Animal Adoption Facility

Brunswick county is looking to build a new animal adoption center in Supply. Bids are being accepted through March 28th at 4pm. The facility will be an estimated 10,000 square feet and will be located near the Animal Protective Services building in Supply. For more information visit Brunswick County’s website.

Sergeant Kye of BCSO Charged in Accident that Killed Chick-Fil-A Employee

Sergeant Nathan Kye of the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has been charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and failure to stop at a red light. Chick-Fil-A of Leland employee Cora Cartrette was killed in the incident that occurred on Saturday, February 18th. Kye was in pursuit of a vehicle driven by Antoine Graham who was charged with multiple moving violations in addition to a drug charge.

NC Works is Hosting a Career Fair for Novant Health in New Hanover and Brunswick Counties

The first job fair will be at the Brunswick County NCWorks Office located at 5300-7 Main Street in Shallotte from 10 am to 2 pm. The second event will be on Thursday, March 20th from 10am to 2pm at the NCWorks Career Center located at 1994 S 17th Street in Wilmington.

Open Positions Include: RN, LPN, Nurse Aide, Care Associate, Patient Safety Attendant, Transporter, EMT, Paramedic, Lab, Pharmacy Tech, Medical Assistant, Home Health, Environmental Service Assistant, Food Services, Public Safety Corporal (Armed), Plant Operations, Supply Chain, Support Associate, Patient Access, Administrative Support, and more!
