Town of Leland Starts Work on Two-Decade Resurfacing Initiative

The Town of Leland has launched a 20-year roadway resurfacing program, aiming to repave up to 5% of Town streets each year. This year’s work covers about five miles of roadway, beginning on Grandiflora Drive and extending through multiple neighborhood streets in Magnolia Greens. Construction runs Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m., through the fall, with some traffic delays expected. Approved in the 2024–2025 budget, the $1.76 million project includes milling, patching, asphalt overlay, new markings, and street signs. Planning is already underway for the 2025–2026 resurfacing cycle. (TownOfLeland)
