Burn Ban Lifted for Brunswick County

The burn ban that has been in place since February 27 due to a combination of risky conditions in the area that resulted in some fires in Winnabow and Northwest. Fires also broke out in Horry County that are now mostly contained.

Current burn bans in the area are updated on the Brunswick County website or call 910-253-2021.

Town Hall Drive to Remain Closed Through Today

Town Hall Drive, which was supposed to be open on Wednesday, March 12th, was delayed and may reopen today. Resurfacing and re-striping started on March 5th.

Volunteer Openings on the Town of Leland Board and Committee

The Town of Leland is looking for volunteers for the Economic Development Committee, Planning Board, and Board of Adjustment. The window for application closes on March 27th at 5pm. If interested, visit the Town of Leland website for instructions on how to apply.

Ice Cream is BACK at the Belville Riverwalk Park

Fun Time Ice cream re-opened yesterday at Belville Riverwalk Park - just in time for spring!

WHAT’S HAPPENIN’

St. Patrick’s Day

Many establishments held St Patrick’s Day celebrations yesterday which will make for some interesting storytelling today. However, there are still a few more opportunities to enjoy wearing your green!

The Gio Fund will have St. Patrick’s Day special music in their events center from 6pm to 8:30pm. Details are on their Facebook page.

Local’s Tavern continues their shenanigans today from 11am until close. They are located at 1107 New Pointe Blvd. (The strip in front of the Leland Wal-Mart).

After the Green Has Faded….

2BrosCoastalCuisine will be at Leland Brewing Company from 5pm to 8pm.

Wine and Design will be the Brunswick Beer Xchange tomorrow night starting at 6:30pm. Registration is required.
