McAllister’s Deli Coming to Leland

The Deli chain has announced its newest location will be coming to Leland and will be located at 1109 New Pointe Boulevard and will be next door to the Fuzzy Peach. No open date has been made official yet.

Jobs at Dave and Buster’s New Wilmington Location

The new Dave and Buster’s Wilmington location will open May 26th and they are looking to fill 80 positions including front and back of house. Sunday Afternoon Car Crash in Winnabow

From the Winnabow Fire Department Facebook page: “On Sunday, April 20, 2025 (4/20), at 4:20 p.m., Winnabow Volunteer Fire Department’s Chief Mercer (680) and Rescue Engine 671 with Captain Albosta, Lieutenant Butchello, and Firefighters O’Connor and B. Jones were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision with entrapment on Ocean Highway East in Winnabow. After cutting the doors off with the hydraulic tools, the patient was removed and transferred to our Brunswick County EMS partners who were tending to the occupants of both vehicles. The NC State Police secured the scene and initiated their investigation. After repacking the hydraulic tools and lines, units returned in service. Photos are while units were clearing up well-after the patient had been extricated.”

Ice Cream is BACK at the Belville Riverwalk Park

Special Olympics North Carolina needs 60 volunteers over three days for the Spring Games, focusing on the softball throw and track events for adult-age athletes.

Adult-age events: April 24 at Ashley High School

School-age events: April 25

Preschool/elementary-age events: May 2 at Legion Stadium

Trivia Night at Gio Fund Event Center

Starting at 630pm tonight at the Gio Fund Event Center - TRIVIA! The bar will open at 5pm. The Gio Fund Event Center is located at 117 Village Rd NE Unit G in Leland.
